That is the worst trade proposal I've seen in a while, and you are a professional hockey writer. Try Beaulieu, Sergachev, Mcwhatever and a 1st and 2nd to get duclair and OEL. and MAYBE Yotes do it. More like Weber Gallagher and a second

Interesting trade proposal. I think I'd agree and do it too as we're in win now mode and having a top pairing of OEL and Weber would be insane. Duclair's having quite a rough sophomore season, and he's a bit small but I think he'll bounce back.

I don't think Arizona would do it though:

OEL (one of the best Dmen in the league) for Beaulieu (jury's still out, but probably peaks as a 2nd pairing guy) and Sergachev (blue chip Dman, but unproven at the NHL level and would take several years if ever he reaches the level of OEL)

Duclair (young, projected top 6 winger) for McCarron (bottom 6 center). I like McCarron and his size, but Duclair has a higher ceiling imo.

As a Habs fan I love it, but yea, I think you're right in that it won't happen... MTL would have to sweeten the pot quite a bit more. There's also cap issues that would make the deal impossible. We'd have to clear a couple million in cap space I think...

I think the criticism is coming from him saying:

As much as I would love to have OEL, it's pretty lopsided when you weigh it all out.
